The life of dinasours intrigues all.

Creative time.

Posing for the camera.

At the aquarium. Grandad, Milan, Juan and Mamama viewing the schools of Sardines swimming overhead.

Roadtrip! Mamama and Milan scout out the best route to the Monterey Aquarium.

I'm so interesting!

Watching the many Elephant Seal babies, moms and apha males lounging in the sun.

Just a small number of the many Elephant Seals that came to shore to give birth or just relax.

Taking a break at the top of a sand dune looking down on the female Elephant Seals waiting or giving birth.

Cara, Milan and Mamama up close and personal with just a few of the male Elephant Seals. We were told to stick close together, because they are known to up and fight each other without warning and they weigh up to 5000 pounds - they said it's equal to two suburbans slamming into you. Needless to say we kept a constant hand on Milan and were ready for a sprint if necessary. Fortunately they were mostly a lazy bunch that morning.

Milan, Grandad and Mamama at the ocean in looking for Elephant Seals.

Every evening while Mamama and Grandad were staying with us Milan was sure to remove the sea crabs from their bed, so that they wouldn't get bit. He's using a boomerang to collect them and put them on the shelves. What an imagination!

Mesmerized by the penguins. Milan is certain that Pingu (one of his favorite characters) is in there.

At the touching pool in the Monterey Aquarium.

Milan at school. Before it officially starts the children get to play with whatever they'd like. Jack, the boy with Milan, is his best friend and they are cooking a pizza.

Cowboy/Santa

Dr. Seus would have loved this horn, too.

Daddy lending an assist to Milan's new horn.

Milan playing music at a novena the week before Christmas.

A visit to the city before the Christmas crunch started.
